How I Use AI as My Data Analyst to Build a Meta Ads Strategy

AI works best as an extra set of hands, not the brain. By feeding a client's Meta creative data into AI to find patterns, cluster themes by performance and flag untested ideas, I landed on three evergreen creative pillars and a three-lane account structure, faster.

Last week, AI was my right hand while I built out a client's Meta strategy.

Not the brain, the extra set of hands.

If you know me, you know I'm big on data. So I let AI be my data analyst while I built the strategy.

What I asked AI to do

I fed a client's ad creative data into AI and asked it to:

  • Find the patterns

  • Validate hypotheses

  • Flag what we might have missed

Not to write new ads, but to organize what was already there, and surface what we hadn't tested.

Three evergreen creative pillars

The account had creative concepts running for a while, so I had AI find and cluster themes by actual performance.

Three evergreen pillars fell out almost immediately:

  1. Trust: reviews, founder story, social proof

  2. Hero: the concept already doing the heavy lifting

  3. Differentiator: the "why us" no competitor could copy

The account structure that followed

Once the evergreen pillars were clear, the account structure followed:

  1. Evergreen: a scale lane for what's proven (Trust, Hero, differentiator)

  2. Test: a protected lane so new ideas get a fair shot

  3. Retargeting: a warm-audience lane for the shoppers who almost bought

AI speeds it up; strategy still takes a person

None of this was brand new. But AI helped me get there faster, and the strategy still had to come from me.

How are you using AI to make your job better?
