The Profit Path Audit (PPA) for eCommerce & DTC Brands: What Is It? and What Are the Signs You Need One?

Most DTC brands that come to TAG are not struggling for lack of effort. They have sales momentum, a busy marketing calendar, and more dashboards than anyone has time to read. What they are missing is the confidence in answering the question every CEO/CMO eventually asks: “What is actually driving my growth, and what is quietly holding it back?”

A marketing audit answers that question. Not with a 60-page slide deck you will never open again, but with a clear, prioritized, data-backed action plan you can start using immediately.

What’s Included in The Profit Path Audit

The audit is a structured review of how your marketing is actually performing, grounded in your data, not generic best practices. Depending on the tier, an audit typically covers:

  • Channel performance. A clear read on how your paid channels perform and also what your organic and email channels are driving. What is profitable, what is leaking budget, and where the real opportunity sits.

  • Reporting and measurement review. A look at how you track performance today, where your numbers disagree with each other, and how to build a single source of truth.

  • Spend efficiency. Where your marketing dollars are working hard and where they are being wasted on activity that looks busy but does not move the business.

  • A prioritized action plan. The deliverable that matters most: a short, ranked list of what to fix first with the reasoning behind each recommendation.

The point of The PPA audit is not to overwhelm you with findings. It is to hand you a decision-ready plan in days, not months.

Signs You Need a Marketing Audit

An audit is the right move when you have activity but not answers. Common signals:

  • Fragmented dashboards. Your ad platform, analytics, and email tool each tell a slightly different story, and no one number is trusted.

  • Unclear ROI. You are spending across several channels but cannot confidently say which ones are actually profitable.

  • Plateaued growth. Revenue has flattened and the usual levers — more budget, more posts, more emails — have stopped working.

  • A big decision ahead. You are about to increase spend, launch a new channel, or enter a new market, and you want a clear-eyed read before you commit.

The process of the Profit Path Audit

The process of the audit is very simple and include three steps.

1) A 60-minute onboarding call to understand your goals, channels, and current data setup

2) Me digging into the data and analyzing your channels. Delivering a customized audit report with recommendations

3) A 30-min follow up session to review your audit and next steps. I will send the customized audit report with recommendations 24hrs before our call so you can review ahead of time. On our call will review and tweak the document to make sure you are satisfied with the out come.

In addition to the recommendations, I will also send you a proposal of what it would look like working with TAG. And if you chose to move forward I will deduct the cost of the audit from the proposal.

The cost of the proposal is $995.

If this sounds like something you'd like to explore book a call to learn more.
